Constitution

ARTICLE I - NAME

The name of this organization shall be the Park University Psychology Club, hereinafter referred to as the Club.

 

ARTICLE II - PURPOSE

The purpose of the Club shall be to promote field interest, and interest in general, to the study of clinical, behavioral, social, industrial/organizational, and counseling and to promote occupational self-growth.

 

ARTICLE III - MEETINGS

Meetings will be held for business, planning educational activities and for setting dates and times pertaining to social functions.

 

ARTICLE IV - MEMBERSHIP

Any Park University student who is interested in the field of psychology may become a member.  Membership in the Club is open to persons of any age, sex, sexual orientation, race, handicap or disability, color, religion, and national and ethnic origin.

 

ARTICLE V - VOTING

Any member in good standing who is not on social or academic probation may vote.  The Executive Committee also has voting rights.  Those active members shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of business.

 

ARTICLE VI - ELECTIONS

Officer elections will be held in the April meeting of the Club for President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer.  The elections will be conducted by secret ballot unless there is only one candidate for a given office.  A majority vote of those members present will be sufficient for an officer to be elected.  In the case of a tie, a run-off election will be held immediately.  Officers shall have a one-year term of office.

To prepare your submission, you will need:

1. An informative title of no more than 15 words for your presentation.
2. A 50-word abstract to appear in the conference program.
3. The name and email address of your faculty sponsor.
4. The full names of any co-authors for the presentation.
