Student Instructions

Step 1:  Go to http://proctor.park.edu

Step 2:  Login to the Proctor Request System using your Student ID # and your OPEN password (this is the same login information you use to enter your Online Classrooms).  If you can't remember your login information, please contact helpdesk@park.edu.

If you are selecting a Park University Campus Center Proctor follow the steps below.  If you are using an "Other" or non-Park proctor, proceed to that section below for instructions.

Selecting a Park University Campus Center Proctor

After logging in, you'll be in the "My Requests" screen.

Step 3:  To create a new Proctor Request, click on the red "New Request" button in the upper right-hand portion of your screen.

Step 4:  Now you are in an individual Exam Request screen.  Go to "My Courses" and click on the "Select" button.  You'll be taken to a new screen which will list all the courses you are currently enrolled in. 

Select the first course for which you would like to make a request by clicking the blue "Select" link at the left of the table of your courses.

Step 5: Next go to "Select Proctor/Location" and click on the "Select" button.  You'll be taken to a screen that lists all of the Park University Campus Centers.

Select the Campus Center you wish to take your final exams at by clicking the blue "Select" link at the left side of the Campus Centers table.

Step 6:  Next go to "Select Exam Session Options" and click the "Select" button.  The exam testing sessions for that specific Campus Center will be listed.  Select up to three test session options by selecting the radio buttons in the appropriate columns, then click the "Select" button in the upper left-hand portion of the screen.

Note:  Efforts will be made to place you in your top three preferences, but due to limited space, confirmation of one of your three preferences can not be guaranteed.

Step 7:  Enter in any comments that you wish your Proctor/instructor to see and then review all the information on the form very carefully to ensure that it is accurate.

Step 8:  Click on the red "Submit Request" button (top or bottom left side of the screen).  An email will be sent to your PirateMail account confirming your request.

Step 9:  Click on "Log Out" at the top right-hand of the screen.

NOTE:  YOU MUST FILL OUT ONE EXAM REQUEST FOR EVERY COURSE YOU ARE ENROLLED IN!

NOTE:  To review or cancel a request, go the the "My Requests" screen and click the blue "review" link at the right side of the requests table.  To cancel the request, click on the "Withdraw Request" button at the top right portion of your screen.

Selecting an "OTHER" or non-Park University Proctor

After logging in, you'll be in the "My Requests" screen.

NOTE:  PRIOR TO COMPLETING THIS FORM, CONTACT YOUR PROCTOR TO ENSURE THAT THEY ARE AVAILABLE TO PROCTOR YOUR FINAL EXAM(S) DURING WEEK 8 AT A PRE-ARRANGED TIME THAT IS CONVENIENT FOR YOU.

ALL PROCTORS MUST MEET THE GUIDELINES FOR ACCEPTABLE PROCTORS.

Step 3:  To create a new Proctor Request, click on the red "New Request" button in the upper right-hand portion of your screen.

Step 4:  Now you are in an individual Exam Request screen.  Go to "My Courses" and click on the "Select" button.  You'll be taken to a new screen which will list all the courses you are currently enrolled in. 

Select the first course for which you would like to make a request by clicking the blue "Select" link at the left of the table of your courses.

Step 5: Next go to "Select Proctor/Location" and click on the "Select" button.  You'll be taken to a screen that lists all of the Park University Campus Centers.  Select the "OTHER -- (non-Park Proctor)" option from this list by clicking the blue "Select" link at the left side of the Campus Centers table.

Step 6:  Now you will be taken back to the Exam Request Screen.  Fill out all the Proctor Information fields (Name, Title, Employer, Phone, Fax, Official/Business Email) and any Comments for your proctor that you wish to enter.

Step 7:  Go to "Select Exam Session Options" and click on the Calendar icon next to the Date textbox and select the date that you and your proctor have pre-arranged for your final exam testing session.  Then type in the time in the appropriate textbox, including AM/PM, that you and your proctor have agreed to.

Step 8:  Enter in any comments that you wish your instructor to see and then review all the information on the form very carefully to ensure that it is accurate.  Your instructor will need to approve your proctor before your proctor will receive notification of your request.

Step 9:  Click on the red "Submit Request" button (top or bottom left side of the screen).  An email will be sent to your PirateMail account confirming your request.

Step 10:  Click on "Log Out" at the top right-hand of the screen.

NOTE:  YOU MUST FILL OUT ONE EXAM REQUEST FOR EVERY COURSE YOU ARE ENROLLED IN!

Instructor Instructions

Part I:  Login and Update your Fax #

Fax #’s are not stored in the CARS system, so you will need to enter your fax # the first term that you teach Online for Park University or whenever there is an update to your Fax # so that Proctors can send completed final exams to you.

Step 1:  Go to http://proctor.park.edu

Step 2:  Login to the Proctor Request System using your Faculty ID # and your OPEN password (this is the same login information you use to enter your Online Classrooms).

Step 3:  Go to the menu on the left hand side of your screen and click on the “My Profile” Hyperlink.

Step 4:  Go to the Fax # text box and enter your Fax #.

Step 5:  Click the “Update” button.

Step 6:  Click on "Log Out" at the top right-hand of the screen.

Note:  If your email/phone # needs to be updated, please contact the Park ITS Helpdesk at helpdesk@park.edu.

Part II:  Monitoring and Accepting/Rejecting your students' proctor requests

 

            Follow Steps 1 & 2 in Part I above to login to the Park University Proctor Request System.

 

Step 1:  The System defaults to showing the “Exam Requests” view.  If you are in another part of the system, click on the “Exam Requests” link on the left side of your screen to get back to this screen.

 

Step 2:  The system will default to showing you proctor requests that you need to take action on.  However, you can display all proctor requests, or select a status category from the list below to view requests. 

 

Step 3:  Click on the "Review" link at the right side of the screen for the appropriate exam request.  Review the non-Park Proctor's information and make a determination about whether or not you will accept or reject the request and go to the "Resolution" field and use the pull down menu to make the appropriate selection.

 

Step 4:  Click "Submit Decision"

 

Step 5:  Click on "Log Out" at the top right-hand of the screen.

 

After you make your determination, the student and proctor will be notified via email if you accept the request, and the student alone will be notified if you reject the request.  The student will need to make a new request by canceling the original request and making a new Request.

 

If you accept the request, the proctor will enter the system and then make their decision.  You can monitor the status of request at any time by sorting based on status in the "My Requests" screen (see list below).

 

Status:

Any – displays all proctor requests for your students

Approved - displays all approved proctor requests for your students.

Rejected - displays proctor requests that you, a campus center proctor, or a non-Park proctor have rejected

Cancelled - displays proctor requests that a student has cancelled

Awaiting Instructor Decision - displays non-Park proctor requests that you need to view and accept/reject

Awaiting Offsite Proctor Confirmation - displays non-Park proctor requests that you have approved, but the non-park proctor has not yet accepted/rejected

Awaiting Proctor Decision - displays Campus Center proctor requests that have not yet been accepted/rejected

Proctor Instructions

Part I: Receiving proctor request email from Instructor

           

            Step 1: You will receive an email with a link to the Park University Proctor Request Form.  First, click on the link  

            http://www.park.edu/online/proctoredform.asp found in the email to verify that you meet Park’s Proctor qualifications.

 

            Step 3: Click on the link to the proctor form (link found in the email) to accept or reject the Proctor request.  The link will look similar to

Part II:  Monitoring and Accepting/Rejecting student proctor requests

 

            Step 1:  The screen you now see shows you proctor requests that you need to take action on.  

 

Step 3:  Review the student's information and selected exam testing session and make a determination about whether or not you will accept or reject the request.  Go to the "Resolution" field and use the pull down menu to make the appropriate selection.

 

Step 4:  Click "Submit Decision"

 

After you make your determination, the student and their instructor will be notified via email if you accept the request, and the student will be notified if you reject the request.  The student will need to make a new request at that time.

 

You can monitor the status of request at any time by clicking on the link in the email. However once you have submitted the proctor form you can not change your request, but you can email onlinestudents@park.edu if you need to update any information such as your phone #, fax #, or testing session information after you have approved a request.

 

Status:

Approved - displays all your approved proctor requests

Rejected - displays proctor requests that you have rejected

Campus Center Instructions

Part I:  Login and Updating the Campus Center Proctor Profile

Campus Center proctors will need to keep their profile updated with their fax #, phone #, and email address so that Instructors can send final exams to you.

Step 1:  Go to http://proctor.park.edu

Step 2:  Login to the Proctor Request System using your Campus Center Proctor ID and password.  If you can't remember your id and password, please email onlineweb@park.edu and your login information will be emailed to you.

Step 3:  Go to the menu on the left hand side of your screen and click on the “My Profile” Hyperlink.

Step 4:  Update any appropriate profile information.

Step 5:  Click the “Update” button.

NOTE:  To update Testing Sessions (add, modify, delete), please contact onlinestudents@park.edu and we will make the changes for you within 48 business hours.

Part II:  Monitoring and Accepting/Rejecting student proctor requests

 

            Follow Steps 1 & 2 in Part I above to login to the Park University Proctor Request System.

 

Step 1:  The System defaults to showing the “Exam Requests” view.  If you are in another part of the system, click on the “Exam Requests” link on the left side of your screen to get back to this screen.

 

Step 2:  The system will default to showing you proctor requests that you need to take action on.  However, you can display all proctor requests, or select a status category from the list below to view requests. 

 

Step 3:  Click on the "Review" link at the right side of the screen for the appropriate exam request.  Review the student's information and selected exam testing session and make a determination about whether or not you will accept or reject the request.  Go to the "Resolution" field and use the pull down menu to make the appropriate selection.

 

Step 4:  Go to the Desired Examination Time(s) area and select the testing option for that particular student.

 

Step 5:  Click "Submit Decision"

 

After you make your determination, the student and their instructor will be notified via email if you accept the request, and the student alone will be notified if you reject the request.  The student will need to make a new request at that time.

 

You can monitor the status of request at any time by sorting based on status in the "My Requests" screen (see status options below).
