The club was formed to bring students and faculty together in contact outside the classroom.  The club organizes a number of activities, both of an informational and of a more casual or social nature. 

Our purpose is to maintain and increase interest in the biological sciences, to provide opportunities for wider acquaintance among students and professionals in the biological sciences, to serve the needs of current and incoming students (study groups, orientation, etc.), to promote awareness of career opportunities and graduate studies in the field and to interact with the community through service programs.
